Girls Night...In

So Donny is enrolled in these scuba certification classes that are held every Tuesday and Thursday nights until 10pm out in Phoenix. He just started them tonight and I thought, "What can be special about this evening.......?" I know! It's a get-everything-done-that-I-can-before-Donny-gets-home-night!!! I usually do this once a week (it's called my day off). It's so hard to focus when Donny is at home with me. He constantly wants to be doing something with ME-the usual is watching the Net Flix movies that come, so I oblige him most of the time. (I Can't resist a chance to snuggle and make popcorn!) ;) So to honor this night I made a very good list of to-do's.....and did only one of them.........can you guess which one it was?

The Dishes-or should I say Donny's dishes

We caught up on our Real Housewives-that's Gretchen if you don't know

We did the laundry...Vista wanted the dryer balls

I dressed Vista up-well she begged me to......

Note to self......Donny has these classes for the next 5 weeks......I'm probably going to need to stay to the list.....yeah-Well!! I'll see how Thursday night goes!!

The Rash

So I have been debating whether or not to put the picture up for this one and you can tell which side won.

Wednesday evening I closed my store and came home to a half awake Donny who said, "Hey babe! Look at my legs...I don't know what happened...". After inspecting them I tried to think of all the possibilities for why his legs-and other parts of his body would look like he was in a nasty "cat fight".
That's being too nice......it was absolutely ridiculous!!! His legs from the top of his thigh down to his feet were covered in bright red, scratch-like marks. It looked like the cat had won, and sauntered away with a sassy grin on it's face.
So back to my possibilities....
As I shook the bed to wake him I said, "Donny, I got it! I know what happened: you scratched your legs while sanding down that wood last night. Or, you're allergic to whatever oils they used on you during you massage on Monday."
Donny's reply, "Uhhh.....I don't know." Obviously he was not awake.
So now the story shifts to Friday. This thing had begun to appear on his head, his chest, his back, his arms, EVERYWHERE!!!!! And it is now itchy. In the mean time Donny has done research on the computer as well as spoken to the doctors in his clinics and contacted the massage place and solved the mystery.
It's a rash! Weird. Not from being allergic to anything, nor from being stressed-as most rashes occur from. This rash was caused by the extreme pressure received from such activities as a deep tissue massage. It will pop up anywhere, especially the place you received the majority of the pressure-his legs :) :( It's all the toxins being released from his body and it found any way it could to leave-the poor thing.
The remedy: Benedryl, or conditioner applied like lotion.
The lesson learned: watch your massages-you could get a rash! (yikes!)

Day/ Hour at the Range

I completely forgot about this one....last weekend Donny decided to take me with him out to the arhcery range. We were out there about an hour shooting his bow-correction....he shot the bow and I looked through his range finder, ate chex mix, and drank my morning coffee. I told Donny I used to love shooting a bow in junior high P.E. class-now he wants to get me to become his live-in archery buddy. We'll see how that turns out.

Can you see the "deer"?

If the javelina is 120 ft away-how many yards is that?

In case we get lost...follow the arrow

I got to touch the bow-afterward...it broke :(

PF Changs Marathon

On Sunday Donny ran the PF Changs Full Marathon. This is the seocond time participating in a PF Changs Full Marathon and his fifth time running in a "Changs" sponsored run overall. (Every year he gets better). He was able to complete the run in just about 4 hours-AMAZING, I KNOW!!!! That's 26.2 miles through Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe. He didn't do it alone. This year his sister Stephanie ran with him and also did a great job. Here are a few pics of the day!
